Plumbing Services in Edmonton

Most plumbing calls start with a symptom. A drain slows down, a toilet starts running at night, a water stain appears where no stain should be, or the basement suddenly becomes the most stressful room in the house.

EVCO Plumbing is a family-run Edmonton company. Our licensed plumbers handle repairs, installations and replacements, from the fixture in front of you to the pipes hidden under the floor. Start by telling us what you are seeing. We will ask the questions that help separate a simple fix from a bigger problem.

Sometimes that conversation is enough to solve it. We would rather give you the free answer than book work you do not need, which is exactly what happened in The $0 Invoice.

  • Family-run and local. You are dealing with an Edmonton company, not a call centre.
  • Repairs through major replacements. One call can cover drains, pipes, fixtures, pumps and water heaters.
  • Work we stand behind. Our labour is backed by a one-year warranty. Read the warranty.

Start with the problem

You do not need to know the trade name for what went wrong. Find the closest match below and follow it to the service that fits.

Water pooling around the drain in a kitchen sink

Drains and sewers

One slow sink usually points to that drain. Several slow drains, gurgling, or a backup can point to the main sewer line. We clean drains and sewers and use video inspections where they will help identify the problem.

Leaks and water lines

A higher water bill, a damp spot, mouldy smell, or the sound of water when nothing is running can all be signs of a hidden leak. We find the source and repair the pipe or water line.

Basement water protection

A sump pump moves water away from the foundation. A backwater valve helps stop city sewer water from coming back into your home. Many Edmonton houses need one, some need both.

Older pipes

Poly-B water lines and aging cast iron drains were common in Edmonton homes, and both can become a problem as they get older. We replace failing pipe with modern materials and explain what we find along the way.

Everyday plumbing, handled properly

The smaller jobs matter too. A bad install can turn a simple fixture into leaks, noise, water waste, and damage behind a wall.

Faucets

Repair, installation and replacement for leaking, dripping, loose, or worn-out faucets in kitchens and bathrooms.

Toilets

Installation, repair and replacement for toilets that run, leak at the base, clog often, rock, or simply need updating.

Renovation plumbing

Bathrooms, basements and full renovations need the hidden work done in the right order. We can handle the plumbing and gasfitting within a larger project.

Contractors and larger projects

EVCO also works on larger residential projects and contractor work where the plumbing and gasfitting need to fit the full build.

Repair it, replace it, or leave it alone?

The cheapest job is not always the smallest one in front of you. A worn faucet cartridge may be a straightforward repair. A toilet that keeps running may need a small part. Repeated drain cleaning, recurring leaks, or pipes that are deteriorating throughout the house can point to a larger repair or replacement.

We will explain what we are seeing, what can wait, and what is likely to keep costing you money if it is ignored. If the answer is that you do not need us, we will tell you that too.

How our estimates work

We provide estimates, and most of the time the estimate is a range. Access, parts, the condition of the existing plumbing, and what is hidden behind walls or below the floor can change the size of a job. If something changes once the work is opened up, we explain it as it arises.

That is our fair pricing approach: competitive pricing, a clear explanation of the range, and no pretending that we can see through concrete. Backwater valves have their own starting point and range, explained in detail on Edmonton's backwater valve site.
